Transfer prices from Moutiers train station

Moutiers transfer prices are set per vehicle, not per person: from €50 for Brides-les-Bains to €130 for Val Thorens, for 1 to 3 passengers. Every line of the price list also shows the cost of a full van of 8. The amount quoted before you book is exactly what you pay the driver.

Belleville valley: €80 to €130

All three resorts in this valley sit on the same road, and the price climbs with it, from the village of Saint-Martin at 1,450 m to Val Thorens at 2,300 m.

Val Thorens is our most expensive destination because it is the longest climb on the list. Fill the van with eight, though, and it works out at €22.50 each. To see which resort suits your holiday, visit our Belleville valley page.

Méribel and Méribel-Mottaret: €65 to €90

In Méribel, the price depends on the part of the resort where you are staying: the higher up, the longer the drive.

Mottaret has a line of its own because the road continues past Méribel Centre, up to 1,750 m. Not sure which part of Méribel your chalet or apartment is in? Give us the address when you book and the matching price will apply.

Courchevel and La Tania: €70 to €90

Courchevel villages often go by two names: the old altitude number and the newer village name. The price list shows both.

Just €20 separates the lowest village from the highest. How the five villages differ beyond price is covered on our Courchevel page.

Bozel valley: €50 to €90

This valley has our lowest prices, including the shortest run on the whole list, to Brides-les-Bains.

Champagny has two prices: the village, linked to the La Plagne ski area by gondola, and Champagny-le-Haut, further up at the head of the valley. All four destinations in the Bozel valley are served in summer as well as winter.

Valmorel and Doucy: €70 and €75

These two resorts share the Grand Domaine ski area. You reach them by first heading down the valley from Moutiers, then climbing via Aigueblanche.

  • Valmorel: €70 for 1 to 3 people, €120 for 8

  • Doucy: €75 for 1 to 3 people, €125 for 8

Doucy costs €5 more than Valmorel. For five people, expect €90 to Valmorel and €95 to Doucy on a weekday. Doucy's chalets are spread out, so give us the exact address to be dropped at your door.

How Moutiers transfer prices work

  • Price per vehicle: the listed price covers 1 to 3 passengers.

  • Extra passengers: +€10 per person beyond 3, so base price +€10 for 4 and +€50 for 8. Eight passengers maximum.

  • Winter weekends: on Saturdays and Sundays from early December to early May, a winter weekend surcharge applies. The calculator adds it automatically for your date.

  • Outside winter: weekends are charged at the base price.

  • Return transfer: each journey at the price for its date, paid to the driver who carries it out.

  • Night journeys: base price, no supplement.

  • Payment: no deposit; pay the driver directly.

The Get my price calculator shows the exact amount for your date and group before you book. For the pick-up itself, see our Moutiers station page; other questions are answered in the FAQ.

Weekday worked examples

Three real-life cases on a weekday, showing how the rules add up.

  • A family of 5 to Les Menuires: €100 + 2 × €10 = €120 for the van.

  • Eight friends to Val Thorens: €130 + 5 × €10 = €180 for the van.

  • A couple with two children to Méribel Centre, return: €85 each way for 4 people, so €170 for both journeys.

On a winter Saturday or Sunday, the winter weekend surcharge comes on top of these amounts. A train arriving late at night changes nothing, as night journeys are charged at the base price.

Frequently asked questions

Why price per vehicle rather than per passenger?

Because the van makes the same journey whether you are one or three. The price therefore covers the vehicle, with €10 added for each passenger from the fourth, up to eight. The bigger the group, the lower the cost per head.

How much does a winter weekend transfer cost?

On Saturdays and Sundays from early December to early May, a winter weekend surcharge applies. The Get my price calculator builds it into your date, so you see the final amount before booking. Outside the winter season, weekends are at the base price.

Is there a supplement for a train arriving at night?

No. A night transfer is charged at the destination's base price, with the same per-passenger rules. Only the winter weekend surcharge can change the price of a journey.

How do I book a return transfer?

Choose the return option when booking, with the outbound leg from the station and the return leg back to it. Each journey is then charged at its own price and paid to the driver who carries it out.
