Destinations
Brides, Bozel, Champagny, Pralognan
The four Bozel valley destinations
From Brides-les-Bains, a few minutes from the station, to Pralognan at the foot of the Vanoise: each destination has its own page and price.
Brides-les-Bains
Just 10 to 15 minutes from the station, a transfer to Brides-les-Bains costs €50 for 1 to 3 people. This spa town welcomes guests taking a cure at the thermal baths, as well as skiers riding the Olympe gondola up to Méribel. Drop-off at your hotel, apartment or the spa itself.
Champagny-en-Vanoise
Champagny-en-Vanoise has two prices: €70 to the village at 1,250 m, linked by gondola to the La Plagne ski area, and €90 to Champagny-le-Haut, a cross-country skiing valley on the edge of the Vanoise National Park. Allow about 25 to 35 minutes to the village.
Bozel
Bozel, €60, is the valley's crossroads village at around 900 m, 15 to 20 minutes from the station. Lived in all year round, it often offers cheaper accommodation than the resorts, in the centre or in a nearby hamlet. The van drops you at the address of your rental.
Pralognan-la-Vanoise
At the end of the road, Pralognan-la-Vanoise is €90 and roughly 35 to 45 minutes away. This mountain village at 1,410 m offers family-friendly skiing in winter and becomes a base for hiking and mountaineering in summer. Skis and bulky mountain packs travel in the boot.
Which Bozel valley village is right for you?
The Bozel valley does not depend on snow alone. Spa cures in Brides-les-Bains, along with hiking and mountaineering around Pralognan in the heart of the Vanoise National Park, bring visitors well beyond the winter months. The right village depends on why you are coming.
Here for a spa cure: Brides-les-Bains, the closest to the station.
Looking for more affordable accommodation in the heart of the valley: Bozel.
Skiing the La Plagne area or cross-country trails: Champagny, the village or Champagny-le-Haut.
After peaks, mountain huts or relaxed family skiing: Pralognan-la-Vanoise.
Outside winter, transfers run on a pre-booked basis and weekends are charged at the standard price. In winter, book early if you arrive on a Saturday, when the valley roads are at their busiest.

Pick-up at Moutiers station
Your driver is waiting as you come out of Moutiers station, holding a sign with your name. Give us your train number when you book so the driver can track your actual arrival time. In winter there is a taxi on the rank outside the station, with further vans working on pre-booked transfers; the Bozel valley also welcomes spa guests and hikers outside the ski season, so booking ahead is the safest option.
Suitcases, skis, hiking packs and pushchairs go in the boot, child seats are fitted on request, and the fixed price quoted is the price you pay. There is no deposit: you pay the driver directly.
The road up the Bozel valley
From the station, the road follows the Doron de Bozel river upstream through Salins-les-Thermes. Brides-les-Bains comes first, about 10 to 15 minutes away, then Bozel at roughly 15 to 20 minutes. From there the road splits: one branch climbs to Champagny-en-Vanoise (about 25 to 35 minutes from the station), the other runs on to Pralognan-la-Vanoise at the head of the valley (about 35 to 45 minutes).
Traffic heading for Méribel and Courchevel shares the first stretch, so on winter Saturdays, changeover day in the resorts, journeys can take noticeably longer. Midweek and outside the ski season, the roads are generally quieter.
Is your train running late?

Bus or private transfer in the Bozel valley?
For your return transfer, tell us what time you would like to leave your village; we will confirm it or suggest another time. Work back from the drive: roughly a quarter of an hour from Brides, around 20 minutes from Bozel and up to 45 minutes from Pralognan, plus time to unload the luggage and reach the platform. On a winter Saturday, leave a much bigger margin. Book both legs together and you will not need to think about it during your stay.
Regional coaches serve the Bozel valley from Moutiers station. For a solo traveller with light luggage they are the cheapest option; just check that the timetable fits your train's arrival. A private transfer makes sense as soon as you are a group, carrying kit or short on time: the price is per vehicle, so eight passengers to Bozel pay €110, or €13.75 each. There is no connection to wait for, and you are dropped at your accommodation.
Frequently asked questions
Do you run Bozel valley transfers outside the ski season?
Yes. Spa guests in Brides-les-Bains and hikers heading to Pralognan travel in spring, summer and autumn too. Book in exactly the same way; outside winter, weekend transfers are charged at the standard price.
Why are there two prices for Champagny?
The village of Champagny-en-Vanoise is €70. Champagny-le-Haut lies further up its own valley, so the drive is longer and the price is €90. Pick the right destination in the price calculator to see the correct fare.
Does a late-evening arrival cost more?
No. The price depends on the destination, the day and the number of passengers, not the time: night transfers are charged at the standard rate. Only winter Saturdays and Sundays carry a surcharge.
Which village is closest to the station?
Brides-les-Bains, about 6 km and 10 to 15 minutes away, at €50 for 1 to 3 people. Despite the station's official name, Moutiers-Salins-Brides-les-Bains, you still need a transfer to reach the village with your luggage.
