Your pick-up at Moutiers station for Méribel
The drive from Moutiers up to Méribel
Your driver is waiting as you come off the platform, holding a sign with your name. Give us your train number when you book and we follow its actual arrival time. For Méribel, please also tell us which area you are staying in and the address of your chalet or apartment, as both the fare and the route depend on it.
Your driver speaks English and French, loads skis and suitcases into the van, fits any child seats you requested, and heads straight up the Allues valley. For more on where we meet, see arriving at Moutiers train station.
From the station the van follows the Doron valley to Brides-les-Bains, around ten minutes away, then takes the Méribel road as it zigzags up through Les Allues. Allow roughly 25 to 35 minutes to Méribel Centre, slightly less for Méribel Village and slightly more for the Altiport, which sits above the centre.
In snowfall your driver simply takes it steadier. On winter Saturdays, when most chalets change guests, traffic in the valley and on the climb can add a good deal of time to the journey, and we factor that in when setting your pick-up time, especially for the trip home.
Train running late?
No need to call. With your train number we see the delay as it happens, and your driver is there for the new arrival time. If you switch to a different train, just let us know by phone or WhatsApp.

Village, Centre or Altiport: where should we drop you?
Méribel is spread over several areas, which is why the fare varies. Méribel Village, at around 1,400 m, is the closest and cheapest at €65. Méribel Centre, at about 1,450 m, is the heart of the resort with its shops, chalets and apartments, at €75. Méribel Altiport, higher up and quieter, is a residential area around the altiport, at €85.
Wherever you stay, the van pulls up outside your accommodation if there is a road to it; if the last stretch is a private drive or a snowy track, we stop as close as is safe and help you unload. Staying higher still, by the slopes of Mottaret? That is a separate destination with its own fare, shown further down. Not sure which area you are in? Send us the address and we will confirm the right fare before you book.

Méribel to Moutiers station transfer
Bus, Olympe gondola or private transfer?
For the journey home, send us your train time and your pick-up address in Méribel. We work backwards from the train, leaving time to load the luggage and for the drive down. Midweek, the trip takes about as long as on the way up.
On Saturdays, the road down to Moutiers meets the following week's arrivals and is often slow, so we set off well ahead. Book both legs together; you pay the driver directly on the way back too.
Coaches run between Moutiers station and Méribel. They are cheaper per person, but you travel on their timetable and get off at fixed stops, which often means a walk with your bags.
Another option is to reach Brides-les-Bains, €50 by transfer, and ride the Olympe gondola up to the Méribel ski area. That suits light travellers staying near the top station; with skis, suitcases and children, everything has to be carried into the cabin and on to your accommodation. A private transfer takes you from the station to your door in one go, at one price shared by the whole group.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know whether I'm staying in Méribel Village, Centre or Altiport?
The easiest way is to send us your address or the name of your accommodation before booking. We will tell you the area and the exact fare: €65, €75 or €85 for one to three passengers, plus €10 for each extra person.
How much is it for six people to Méribel Centre?
€105 for the whole van: the €75 base fare plus €10 for each of the three extra passengers. A winter weekend surcharge applies on Saturdays and Sundays; the final price is always shown before you confirm.
Can you drop us at a chalet off the main road?
Yes, as long as there is a drivable road, the van stops right outside. If the final approach is a steep private drive or has not been cleared of snow, your driver stops at the nearest safe spot and helps you get the bags out.
Should I book my return to the station now?
It is not compulsory, but it helps: booking both legs together means your departure time is planned around your train home from the outset, Saturday traffic included.
