From Moutiers to Le Praz, the first Courchevel village
Your driver greets you at the station exit, holding a sign with your name on it. As Le Praz is the closest Courchevel village, this is also the shortest transfer: by the time skis and cases are in the boot and seatbelts are on, you are nearly there. Give us your train number and the address of your chalet or apartment. If you need child seats or boosters, ask for them when you book and they will be fitted before you arrive. You pay the driver directly in the village when you are dropped off.
Le Praz is the first Courchevel village you reach coming from Moutiers, about 17 km from the station. The road heads up the Bozel valley, then starts to climb: you reach Le Praz, at 1,300 m, before the road carries on towards the higher villages. The drive takes about 25 to 30 minutes, making it the quickest Courchevel destination to reach from the train. With fewer hairpins than the road to 1850, it is also a gentler ride for anyone who dislikes bends. On winter Saturdays, when holidays change over, the valley fills with cars, and even this short distance can take a good deal longer.

Arriving in Le Praz, the historic heart of Courchevel
Le Praz, long known as Courchevel 1300, is Courchevel's historic village, at 1,300 m. It was here well before the resorts built higher up the mountain, and it still feels like a mountain village. It sits at the foot of the ski jumps used for the 1992 Albertville Olympic Games. Le Praz is part of the Courchevel ski area, with lifts leaving from the village itself. Your driver drops you outside your chalet or residence, as close as the road allows, and helps unload the luggage. For a late arrival, Le Praz has another advantage: it is the shortest drive in the area, and night transfers are charged at the standard fare. It is also the best place to start if your transfer budget is tight.

Courchevel Le Praz → Moutiers station transfer
The return from Le Praz is the shortest in Courchevel: about 25 to 30 minutes to the station. Add loading time and a margin for the platform, and you have the time your driver should collect you. On a winter Saturday, the short distance offers no protection from valley traffic jams, so leave considerably earlier. Your driver comes to the agreed address in the village. If you booked both legs together, each one costs €70 for 1 to 3 people, paid to the driver.
