A station named after Brides-les-Bains
From the station to Brides-les-Bains in 10 to 15 minutes
Your ticket says Moutiers-Salins-Brides-les-Bains, yet Brides is not at the end of the platform: the town sits about 6 km further up the valley. Your driver waits at the station exit with a sign bearing your name, having followed your train using the number you gave us.
Spa guests often travel with luggage for several weeks, skiers with their ski bags: it all fits in the van's boot. So does a pushchair, a child seat or a booster seat, simply ask when you book.
This is the shortest drive in the valley. The road leaves Moutiers, passes through Salins-les-Thermes and follows the Doron de Bozel up to Brides-les-Bains without any real climb. Midweek, allow about 10 to 15 minutes from the station forecourt to your door.
Brides is also where the Méribel road begins, and every car bound for Courchevel passes through too. On winter Saturdays, when holidaymakers change over, all that traffic shares your road and the journey can take noticeably longer. If your dates are flexible, a midweek train makes for an easier arrival.
Weighing up your options? Our guide to taxis, shuttles and buses from the station compares all three.
Train delayed
No need to worry: we have your train number and the driver tracks its real arrival time, then adjusts the pick-up at the station accordingly.
Arriving in Brides-les-Bains: hotel, spa or gondola
Brides-les-Bains welcomes two kinds of traveller, and each needs a different drop-off.
Spa guests
You are here for the thermal baths. We drop you outside your hotel or apartment building, or straight at the spa if your first appointment follows soon after your train. The driver lifts the cases out of the boot and leaves them at the entrance, so there is nothing to carry along the street after your journey.
Skiers
Skiers who stay in Brides reach Méribel on the Olympe gondola. The van can leave you at the gondola station with skis and boots, or at your accommodation first so you can drop your bags.
Either way, give us the exact address when you book so the driver stops in the right place.

Bus, shuttle or private transfer to Brides?
For your return, tell us what time you want to leave Brides: that sets the pick-up, and we can suggest a different time if needed. Midweek, leaving around 30 minutes before your train gives enough time to load the luggage and reach the platform without rushing. On a winter Saturday, allow a wider margin as the valley road fills up. A return transfer can be booked together, which suits the end of a spa cure, when your departure date is known from day one.
Coaches run from Moutiers station to Brides-les-Bains and are the cheapest choice for a solo traveller with little luggage, as long as the timetable matches your train. Over 6 km, a private transfer earns its place in other ways: no waiting outside the station, cases that stay in the boot until your door, and a price per vehicle. With 4 passengers, €60 works out at €15 each; with 8, €100 is €12.50 per person.
Frequently asked questions
Why book a transfer for just 6 km?
Because distance is not the issue, luggage is. With the cases for a spa cure or a whole family's skis, the van takes you to the door with no waiting and no connection, at a fixed price you know in advance.
Can you drop us directly at the spa?
Yes. Mention it when you book, along with your accommodation address if you want to go there afterwards. The driver stops wherever you need in the town, and the price stays as quoted.
Do transfers run outside the ski season?
Yes, on a pre-booked basis. Spa guests arrive outside the ski season too, and booking works in exactly the same way. Outside winter, Saturdays and Sundays are charged at the standard price.
I am staying in Brides and skiing in Méribel: do I need a transfer every day?
No. The Olympe gondola links Brides-les-Bains with Méribel. The transfer is mainly useful on arrival and departure, between the station and your accommodation, with skis and suitcases.
