Frequently asked questions about our Moutiers transfers
Questions about Moutiers station transfers come down to five topics: booking, prices, meeting at the station, luggage and the journey home. Every answer sticks to what we can guarantee. Something missing? Call us or send a WhatsApp message.
Booking your transfer
How do I book?
Choose your resort and date in the Get my price calculator, then fill in the booking page. A confirmation reaches you by email.
What details do you need?
The date, your train number, the resort and accommodation address, the number of passengers, skis and large suitcases, and any child seats. The train number lets the driver track your arrival.
Can I book the outbound and return legs together?
Yes, with the return option. Both journeys are confirmed at once, and each one is paid in cash to the driver who does it.
How far ahead should I book?
Book as soon as you know your train. Winter Saturdays are the busiest days of all.
Prices and payment
Can the price change after booking?
No. The fixed price shown before booking is what you pay, even if the roads are busy. It only changes if you alter the number of passengers or the date.
How do I pay?
There is no deposit to pay: you simply pay the driver directly on the day.
Why does a winter Saturday cost more?
Between early December and early May, weekend days carry a winter weekend surcharge. The calculator shows it for your chosen date.
Is the price the same everywhere in a resort?
Not always. In Méribel, it varies by area: Village, Centre or Altiport. The full list is on our prices page.
At Moutiers station
Where do I meet the driver?
At the station, where they wait for you with a sign bearing your name. All winter, our taxi waits at the taxi rank just outside the station.
What if my train is late?
We follow your train's actual arrival time and the driver adapts to it. If you change trains, send the new number by phone or WhatsApp.
Can I take the taxi without booking?
Yes, if our taxi is free when you arrive. On Saturdays the queue at the taxi rank can be long, and a booking means you do not depend on it.
Name signs, Saturday queues, getting back to your train: it is all explained on our Moutiers station page.
Luggage, skis and children
How many people can travel?
Up to 8 passengers per Mercedes van. Beyond 3, each extra person adds €10: eight people heading to Val Thorens pay €180 for the van.
Do you take skis and snowboards?
Yes, as well as suitcases and pushchairs. Tell us how much you are bringing when you book so everything is planned.
Do you provide child seats?
Yes: just ask when booking and give each child's age, and the driver fits them before you arrive.
Is the transfer shared?
No, it is always private: the van carries your party only. Equipment details are on our service page.
The journey back to the station
When should I leave the resort?
It depends on the distance and the day. From Valmorel, allow about 25 to 35 minutes in normal traffic; from Courchevel 1850, about 35 to 45 minutes; from Val Thorens, 45 minutes to an hour. Saturdays in winter call for a far more generous margin. We agree the pick-up time with you based on your train.
Do I pay the driver for the return too?
Yes, with no deposit, at the price confirmed when you booked.
How do I reach you to arrange the return?
By phone or WhatsApp on +33 6 45 15 19 18. All our details are on the contact page.
