Arriving at Moutiers station with children
With children in tow, getting off the train is often the busiest moment of the whole journey. Your driver waits at the station exit with a sign bearing your name, and any child seats or boosters you have requested are already fitted in the van. Pushchairs, skis and suitcases go in the boot while you settle the little ones. Tell us each child's age when you book so the right seat is provided, and give us your train number. For Moriond, include the name of your residence too: that is where we drop you off, and you pay the driver directly there.
Train delayed on the way to Moriond?
We follow your train's actual arrival time using its number. The driver adjusts to it, the child seats stay fitted, and you can climb straight into the van as you come out.
From the station to Courchevel Moriond
Moriond lies about 22 km from the station. The road heads up the Bozel valley, then climbs in hairpins towards the Courchevel villages, reaching 1,650 m. Allow about 30 to 40 minutes in normal conditions, a little more when it is snowing. If one of your children suffers from car sickness, tell the driver, who will take the bends gently. On winter Saturdays, when residences change over their guests, traffic in the valley can make the drive considerably longer, on exactly the day the children are most impatient to arrive.
Courchevel 1650 or Moriond: arriving in the village
Courchevel 1650 and Courchevel Moriond are the same village: 1650 was its original name, taken from its altitude, and Moriond is what it is called today. Both still appear on accommodation bookings, and we treat them as one destination at one price. The village is known for its sunshine and family atmosphere, with plenty of apartment residences and chalets. On arrival, your driver drops you at the entrance to your residence, as close as the access road allows, and helps unload the bags and pushchairs. If your residence's reception is in a different building from your apartment, mention it when you book and we will plan the drop-off around it. Two families sharing accommodation but arriving on different trains should book two transfers, each of them private.

Courchevel Moriond → Moutiers station transfer
Bus or private transfer to Moriond with a family?
For your return transfer, we collect you outside the residence. Leave about 40 minutes before you want to be at the station, then add time to load cases, skis and pushchairs: with children, that part always takes longer than planned. On a winter Saturday, set off considerably earlier, as the road down to Moutiers can be congested. Child seats are fitted again for the return if they are on your booking. Book both legs together; each one is paid to the driver who carries it out.
The coach from Moutiers station up to Courchevel is a budget option for a single adult. For a family, the sums change: you have to carry the bags and manage children and a pushchair to the stop, then from the stop to your residence. With five in the van, a private transfer works out at €20 per person (€100 in total), and you step out at your door. If the coach appeals, check its times and stops with the operator.
